Volunteer at Jochipapanete
Volunteering as a facilitator at Jochipapanete is a great way to deepen your own awakening and healing journey. Being a facilitator gives you the opportunity to assist others on their journey with ayahuasca, which in turn deepens your own relationship with the medicine. As a facilitator you will build your empathy toward others through developing your ability to listen, you will grow the compassion in your heart by being of service to others and you will broaden your perspective of Ayahuasca through observing participants grow and change throughout a retreat.
To volunteer with us you MUST be fluent in English and Spanish to be the bridge the Shipibo Family need and Ideally have experience with the medicine. If you do not have medicine experience and are still feeling the call, please do reach out. Whilst we recognise that many have wonderful offerings such as yoga etc this is not what we are calling for right now and language skills is our primary need from a volunteer.
The role of a volunteer facilitator at Jochipapanete:
Help setup and prepare for retreats the day before guests arrive.
Be available to guests for certain periods of each day to assist with any practical issues they have or just being there to help them process.
Participate in retreat activities such as sharing circles.
Assist in setting up the Maloka for ceremonies.
Assist in all ceremonies during the retreat.
What’s included:
Semi-private room accommodation.
Food and drink.
Ayahuasca ceremonies with our Maestros between retreats.
If you feel called to volunteer at Jochipapanete, please get in touch for more information.
Whilst we are growing our centre we humbly ask all volunteers to contribute 150 sol per week as an offering towards their stay with us.
