Support a Shipibo Family Initiative
The families of Maestro Deodemero Matios Maynas and Maestra Rosenda Melendez Flores have been working hard to finish their dream of building their own Ayahuasca healing center. It has been a dream of theirs to create a fully Shipibo-run center, and every day they are closer to culminating their dream.
Right now, they are looking for funding to finish their project and are accepting donations that will help to support the continued build of the center today, while also serving as your deposit for a future retreat.
They are aiming to start hosting retreats starting in January of 2022. The future cost of their 9-day, 4-ceremony retreats will be $1,200. If you are interested in attending a future retreat, you can put down a full or partial deposit that will hold your spot for a retreat once the center is finished for a discounted rate of $1,000.

Our Maestros
Our Shipibo Maestros & founders are Maestro Deodemero Matios Maynas and Maestra Rosenda Melendez Flores. They both come from a long line of healers in their family and have been working with Ayahuasca for over 20 years. With experience working in a variety of different well-renowned centers in Iquitos and Pucallpa, they are now working for themselves, together as a family.
Our Maloca
Our ceremonial maloca where we will be hosting ceremonies is big enough for 15 participants.
Our Location
Our center is located at KM 17 on the Aguas Calientes highway from the town of Contamanta, in the Ucayali province.
To get to Contamana, you must first fly to Pucallpa. From there, you can take a fast boat for 6-7 hours up the Ucayali River, or you can fly on a propeller plane for 45 minutes. Once in Contamana, our center is located 30 minutes into the jungle via motocar. We will arrange all transportation for the retreat.
Our Facilities
Our center includes a ceremonial Maloka, a kitchen and dining room, an indoor lounge area, a variety of accommodation options, showers, compost toilets, and plenty of nature trails with medicinal plants to enjoy.
Our Accomodation
We are working hard to finish our tambo (cabin) accommodations. The center will have space for a maximum number of 15 guests, with the availability of 12 semi-private single rooms, and 4 double rooms for couples.
Our Natural Spaces
Our center is located in the middle of the Amazon jungle, with no neighbors, secluded far away from any city noise. There are a variety of healing master plants on the property, as well as a hiking trail that leads to the top of a small mountain. There is an abundance of natural spaces to be with on our property.
Healing Waters
Our center is located 5 minutes from the thermal waters of Aguas Calientes. It is a protected natural area where two rivers meet - one volcanic, and one freshwater - creating thermal pools for us to bathe in. These medicinal waters are healing for the body and spirit, and we will be bringing guests to enjoy the natural beauty of this area where macaws and other wildlife can sometimes be spotted.
